Privacy Policy and Terms of Use

We are committed to full transparency and to protecting users' personal information, in accordance with the law applicable in the State of Israel.

1. General

Dr. Avi Chezar's clinic (hereinafter: "the clinic", "the site", "we") respects the privacy of users of the website it operates and acts in accordance with the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, and the regulations enacted under it.

The purpose of this document is to clarify the privacy policy and the terms of use of the site, including how information is collected, used, stored and protected.

Using and/or browsing the site constitutes the user's consent to the terms set out in this document.

2. Collection and use of information

When the site is used, the clinic may collect and process the following types of information:

a. Information provided voluntarily by the user
Personal details such as name, phone number, email address and the content of the enquiry, provided when filling in contact forms or when making contact by email or WhatsApp. It is recommended to avoid providing sensitive medical information that is not needed to arrange an appointment or for an initial reply.

There is no legal obligation to provide personal information when using the site. However, not providing certain details may prevent the clinic from getting back to the person, replying to the enquiry or arranging an appointment.

b. Technical and statistical information
Data collected automatically by tools such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, including IP address, browser type, operating system, time spent on the site and pages viewed. This information is collected for measurement, security and improving the user experience, and is not intended for direct personal identification.

3. Cookies and tracking technologies

The site uses cookies and similar technologies for its proper operation, its security, collecting statistical data and adapting the user experience.

The site also uses third-party services such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Maps, which may place their own cookies. The use of information by these bodies is subject to their own privacy policies.

Users can block or delete cookies through their browser settings. Please note that blocking certain cookies may impair the functionality of the site or the experience of using it.

Storing accessibility preferences on the device: the accessibility tool uses the browser's local storage (localStorage), under the key c4u-accessibility-v1, to store the text size and adjustments you have chosen (color and contrast, display, reading and reading aids). These are display preferences only; the tool does not store personal or medical details, does not send the preferences to a server or a third party, and is not used for tracking or advertising. The storage is intended to remember your choices between pages of the site and on return visits in the same browser, and is separate from the measurement-cookie preferences.

The preferences are kept until they are reset from within the accessibility tool or the site data is deleted in the browser. The "Reset all adjustments" button deletes the tool's preferences key. If storage is blocked, the tool keeps working on the current page without saving. Moving to another browser or device does not carry the preferences over.

Read-aloud: the "click to read aloud" option in the accessibility tool uses the browser's speech engine, and only a voice installed on the device itself. The text selected for reading is processed on the device, is not sent to the site's server or to an external reading service, and is not stored. When the device has no suitable voice, the option is not available.

Where the site has a consent-management mechanism, cookie preferences can be changed at any time.

Cookies that are not essential to the basic operation of the site (including measurement, analytics or advertising cookies) will be activated only after receiving the user's active and explicit consent, insofar as required by law and in accordance with the site's consent-management mechanism.

4. Information security

The clinic applies reasonable and accepted measures to secure the information collected on the site, including technological and organizational measures, in accordance with the Protection of Privacy (Data Security) Regulations, in order to reduce the risks of unauthorized access, loss or misuse of information.

However, the clinic cannot guarantee absolute security of the information, and the clinic does not undertake that the site's services will be fully immune to intrusions or faults.

5. Disclosure of information to third parties

The clinic does not sell, rent or transfer personal information to third parties, except in the following cases:

  • if this is required to manage a legal dispute or to protect the clinic's rights
  • if the user has carried out actions on the site in breach of the law
  • if a court order or a legal demand requiring disclosure of information is received
  • to suppliers and service providers who help operate the site (such as hosting, security or measurement services), subject to their undertaking to keep the information confidential

The contact form on the site: the details provided in the form are sent to the clinic's mailbox through the email-sending service Resend (servers in the European Union), which keeps a copy of the message for a limited period for operational purposes, and are protected against automated submission by the verification service Cloudflare Turnstile.

Some of the information may be processed or stored on servers outside Israel, including by international providers.

6. Right to access, correct and delete information

In accordance with the Protection of Privacy Law, every person is entitled to review information held about them in databases, and to ask for information that is not correct, complete, clear or up to date to be corrected or deleted.

Requests on this subject can be sent to the email address given in the contact section.

7. Accessibility statement

The clinic attaches great importance to providing an equal and accessible service to all users, and works to improve accessibility in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773–2013, and Israeli Standard IS 5568. Details of the adjustments and how to report problems appear in the accessibility statement.

The accessibility tool allows changing the text size in the range 80%–200%, color and contrast adjustments, reading and display adjustments, reading aids (reading ruler, reading mask and read-aloud), quick navigation to the page headings, and resetting at any time. Using the tool is the user's choice and does not replace making the site itself accessible, a screen reader or the browser's built-in zoom. Display changes may change the layout of the content; hidden images come back after the hiding is turned off or reset. The tool does not change the medical information and does not add medical advice.

If you have difficulty browsing or viewing content, you can contact the clinic using the contact details on the site. The description of the accessibility tool was updated on 30 September 2026.
